Well, the answer is yes and no, depending how you rate them.

We can divide the "green" web hosts into three groups.

One group generates its electricity via their very own solar panels or wind power. These web hosts are generally much more expensive due to this fact.

Another group buys "green" energy from an electricity company. This way is a bit expensive but not as expensive as the first groups way.

Then we have the third group. This group buys RECs or Green Tags, commonly known as carbon offsetting. This is the cheapest way to "green" a web host.

After checking them out, since looking for a host, the fall into the "Green Tag" category. You also have to consider that they charge in Canadian currency which means that the $5.95 CAD price converts to $5.83736 USD as an example. In this case it is a little better deal.
